Celebrating Constitutional Heritage Through Art: A Mithila-Inspired Tribute

I am thrilled to share the exciting news that my Mithila-style painting, featuring a galloping red horse, took center stage at the recently concluded Kala Ghoda Association Festival. This vibrant artwork was a proud participant in the Hamari Virasat – Har Dil Mein Samvidhan Campaign, an initiative that marked the 75th year of our constitution with a stunning collection of 75 textile artworks.

Capturing the very essence of the preamble to the Constitution of India, the exhibition showcased 75 incredible artworks, each contributing to a profound tribute to the legacy of our constitution. While I couldn't be present in person, my artwork played a significant role in bringing to life the campaign's theme, "The Majestic Steed of Democracy: A Mithila-Inspired Tribute to India’s Constitution."

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Hand For Handmade initiative for providing such a remarkable platform for artists like me to contribute to this celebration of our constitutional heritage. A special acknowledgment goes to Shibani Dasgupta Jain and Vinita Gursahani Singh for their incredible initiative and unwavering support in making this artistic endeavor a reality.

I am particularly grateful for the visit and appreciation from Dia Mirza, a leading actor, who took the time to explore and express admiration for my mural. Her presence signifies valuable support for the arts and the profound messages conveyed through them.

To all the attendees who became an integral part of this celebration, witnessing and appreciating the artistic homage to our constitutional heritage, I extend a heartfelt thank you. Your presence added vibrancy to this significant event, making it a memorable tribute to the principles and values embedded in our constitution.

As an artist, it brings me immense joy to see my work contributing to the collective expression of admiration for our constitution. Through the medium of art, we continue to weave threads of tradition, culture, and democracy, ensuring that the legacy of our constitution is celebrated and cherished by generations to come.

Here's to the power of art in preserving and honoring our constitutional heritage! 🎨🇮🇳

I am thrilled to express my heartfelt thanks to the organizers of Hand for Handmade foundation for providing me with the incredible opportunity to participate in the Hamari Virasat event. It has truly been an enriching experience, celebrating the rich tapestry of India and paying homage to our constitutional values.

Hamari Virasat, a brilliant initiative by Hand for Handmade, stands as a testament to the beauty of our cultural heritage. The campaign unfolds with 75 extraordinary textile artworks, each a masterpiece representing the diverse corners of India. What makes it even more special is its alignment with the 75th year of our Indian constitution, beautifully depicted through the lens of our constitutional preamble.

A heartfelt thank you to the graceful Sangita Jindal (JSW Foundation) and her mother, Mrs. Kanoria, for inaugurating the campaign with such elegance and warmth. From the ceremonial lamp lighting to actively engaging with the artisans and murals, Sangita Jindal's genuine interest and involvement were truly inspiring. Her appreciation for the arts and crafts of India make her a true connoisseur, and we were honored to have her presence at the event.

Special thanks to Shibani Dasgupta Jain of Hand For Handmade and Vinita Gursahani Singh, Baaya Design, and We The People Abhiyan for curating an event that beautifully weaves together the threads of art, cultural heritage, and craftsmanship.
